A 5-year-old girl was suspended from school for threatening to shoot and kill other students with a stick while protecting a queen and princess. The ordeal started on the playground of McLauchlin Elementary School in North Carolina. One of her friends was pretending to be a queen and, another, a princess. Little Caitlin Miller armed herself with a stick that looked like a gun to play their protector.
Within minutes of play time, a vigilant teacher witnessed the unfolding tragedy and scooped up the little girl to prevent her from shooting any of her classmates with the stick.
The official charge is, “turning a stick into a gun and threatening to shoot and kill other students.”
