Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin had the blinding audacity to recommend, “The Lego Batman Movie,” when asked during a live interview for a movie recommendation. Now Senator Wyden is here to save the day, requesting the Office of Government Ethics to investigate.
Mnuchin is a producer of several movies, namely, “Avatar,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” and “The lego Batman Movie.”
“The Lego Batman Movie” was produced by Ratpac-Dune Entertainment Holdings LLC, which was co-founded by Mnuchin, who agreed to divest his holdings in Ratpac within his first 120 days as secretary.
When asked during the interview with Axios for a movie recommendation, Mnuchin replied, “I’m not allowed to promote anything that I’m involved in. So I just want to have the legal disclosure, you’ve asked me the question, and I am not promoting any product. But you should send all your kids to ‘Lego Batman.”
Seriously, Wyden? Don’t you have a real job to do? Is this what we pay you clowns for because I want a refund. This is why our government accomplishes nothing.
Liberal obstructionism is getting old and it’s about time you get to work instead of creating drama. We have Michael Moore and the Hollywood elites for that!
