Anti-Israel idealism is taking hold in America while pro-Islam sentiment is slowly creeping into American consciousness. This is a conumdrum to many on the right side of the aisle as the Middle East has been at war with itself since biblical times and Israel has always been a strong American ally.
Richard Falk, a former U.N. special rapporteur to the Palestinian territories and critic of America and Israel as it relates to Islamic terrorism, slammed Israel today with a co-authored United Nations report stating the U.S. ally is “guilty of the crime of apartheid.” Apartheid was a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination in South Africa created by the Nationalist Party in 1948 and abolished in 1991.
“The United States stands with our ally Israel and will continue to oppose biased and anti-Israel actions across the UN system and around the world,” Haley said.
Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. Danny Danon labeled the report as “biased and deceitful” and “an attempt to smear and falsely label the only true democracy in the Middle East by creating a false analogy.”
“It comes as no surprise that an organization headed by an individual who has called for boycotts against Israel, and compared our democracy to the most terrible regimes of the twentieth century, would publish such a report,” Danon said.
This anti-Israel sentiment is taking on a life of its own and is embedding itself in leftist America. University students are among the harshest and most verbal critics of Israel and it’s not a huge leap to speculate this anti-Israel stance is coming directly from educators.
Filmmaker Ami Horowitz took his crew to the University of California, Berkeley in 2014 to gauge students’ reactions to both the Israeli and ISIS flags. The results were stunning.
At the crux of the issue seems to be Israel’s desire to maintain its country as a Jewish state. What’s interesting is Islamists are one of the few peoples traveling the globe and expecting each country to accomodate their culture, religion and societal norms. Israel is in effect taking a strong stance on nationalism and saying it wants no part of this globalistic nightmare many want to force down its throat.
Perhaps this is why Trump is not going over well with the democratic socialists. They see Trump as a nationalist for his “make America great again” campaign, while they’re trying to unravel societal norms and make the world a blended smoothie where one texture or flavor is no longer discernable from any other.
In the real world this will be the end of any distinguishable culture on this earth. Italy will no longer be Italy, and Germany will no longer be Germany. Switzerland and all of Asia are the only smart ones not getting involved in the lunacy. Rest assured, this global warpath being carved out by the out-of-control liberals will soon see the adage “as American as apple pie” outlawed.
Open your eyes, America.
